Who we are

Lettava (lettava.co.uk) is a compliance tool for landlords in England, currently in early access. Lettava is the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: hello@lettava.co.uk.

What we collect

Compliance check answers: your answers to the quiz, your score, the number of properties you let and your region.
Your email address, if you ask us to send your checklist.
Payment details, if you reserve a founding place. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.

Why we use it

To send you the checklist you asked for and reminders about landlord database dates in your region (lawful basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
To process a founding place reservation and any refund (lawful basis: contract).
To understand, in aggregate, what landlords need so we can build the right product (lawful basis: legitimate interests).

We do not sell your data and we do not share it with other landlords, agents or advertisers.

Who processes it for us

Netlify hosts this website and stores form submissions.
Stripe processes payments.

These providers may store data outside the UK, including in the United States, under safeguards recognised by UK data protection law.

How long we keep it

Quiz answers and email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, and in any case no longer than 24 months. Payment records are kept as long as the law requires for tax and accounting.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, object to its use, or withdraw consent at any time by emailing hello@lettava.co.uk. Every email we send includes a way to unsubscribe. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
